Provide a CAD Model with your RFQ

CAD model
A CAD model submitted with your print helps lower manufacturing costs and reduce delays.

To expedite the RFQ process, submit a CAD model with your quote request. Prints, while good, don’t give a full 3D representation of all features on a part.

A model is especially crucial if your engineering department is doing CAD design; a print leaves out many of the features your engineers have designed in.

The benefits of having a CAD model available when we quote parts or assemblies include:

  • Ability to cross-reference the drawing with the model – especially when the print states, “Refer to CAD model”
  • Accurately quote run time
  • Determine if special tooling is needed
  • Lower costs and fewer delays

CAD models allow our team to see all sides of a part and specific features – giving our team the ability to develop a plan of action to manufacture.

Models also allow us to provide DFM solutions to reduce cost and time to market.

You easily upload a CAD model and a print when you submit an RFQ via our website.
