Assembly II Technician
Keystone Precision & Engineering, Inc., located in Pepperell, MA, has an immediate opening for a first-shift Assembly II Technician (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
You will be responsible for sub-assembly and final assembly of products. This is a full-time bench assembly position. Additionally, the applicant should have the ability to read prints, follow written instruction, and have an eye for detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work to specifications, instruction sheets, prints, written/verbal, and computer instructions to fabricate/assemble/inspect product manually
- Perform routine operations on production assemblies utilizing tools, fixtures, and holding devices
- Perform tapping of holes in assemblies, hardware insertion using hand tools and press, manual die cutting, hand cutting and other related mechanical processes
- Maintain cleanliness in the general assembly area including all supplies and equipment/tooling
- Provide routine equipment and workstation maintenance including necessary logs
- Follow work order travelers, including proper scanning of all operations being performed
- Record and document all material moving from the assembly area to the next operation
- Incorporate engineering change orders and maintain process documentation
- Maintain records, move materials, and follow safety rules in performance of duties
- Maintain individual work area /equipment in a neat orderly manner including proper disposal of packaging waste, proper storage, and use of equipment and parts
- Recommend activities to promote continuous improvement and best practices
- Perform other similar duties as required or directed
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen for company-wide ITAR regulations.
- One year in mechanical assembly, with hands-on technical skills in mechanical assembly
- Must have general measurement knowledge using rulers, hand tools, and scales
- General computer navigation skills to enter data for record retention
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Work well with others at all levels of the organization
- Have a track record of being reliable and dependable
- Dedicated to a 40-hour work week; generally 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Mon-Fri
